On the occasion of the exhibition REFLET (S) organized by the committee Francéclat and held at this very moment at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, FashionLab by Dassault Systèmes offers three 3D experiences around the jewelry field.
The second experience FashionLab by Dassault Systemes proposed on the occasion of the REFLET(S) exhibition is an animated lenticular photography – in other words, a photography in 3D.
Behind this designation, there is a method of producing stereoscopic images. Achieving a lenticular photography requires the acquisition of many different points of view. These are obtained by taking photographic views or CG calculation.
For the picture exposed at REFLET(S) exhibition, sixty pictures were generated, all entirely generated with the surfacic features for CATIA by Dassault Systèmes. Photo-realistic images were produced with Live Rendering functions of the same application.
Then, these sixty images were assembled and compressed using mathematical algorithms in a single picture, prior to be printed in high definition.
An extremely precise optical element, called lenticular was then sealed on the print.
This photograph was produced by Alioscopy following this exclusive process.
The uniqueness of these pictures is intended for multiple uses: artistic, cultural or professional, as a single or limited edition. This system offers an unusual solution in 3D visual communication, with a “wow effect” and an original added value.
