Party people, wave your wristbands in the air!

This “Instructable“ will teach you how to build a persistence of vision wristband!

Persistence of Vision (POV) is the illusion that an image continues to persist even though the image has changed.  In essence, the system is taking advantage of the limitations of the brain-eye processing time. The device uses a sewable Lilypad Arduino board and about eight 8 LEDs.

The Lilypad POV (row of LEDs) is a fun gizmo to build with minimal programming and electronic needs.

You will have to program the board to get the words of your choice to show up, which will require a bit of patience. However, it’s quite a cute illusion and, with enough patience, you can make your wristband say anything you want to say.
