Russians are back in the hype
Fashion week season is ending. In each main fashion capital, designers from all over the world – well known and those not so much – have presented their collections to A-listers, top buyers and magazine editors. Russians here, are no exception. New emerging russian designers are ready to conquer the fashion scene and it seems like it’s the perfect time for them to show what they’re able to do since the interest in everything Russian seems to be hype again.
A collection inspired by artist John Everett Millais & W.Shakespeare
The New York based designer Rubin Singer, who is a third-generation couturier of Russian descent, launched his label in the city in 2007. Since then, his popularity never stop to expend and we think we will hear a lot about him in the near future. His 2013 Spring/Summer collection was based on John Everett Millais painting of the Shakespeare tragedy “Hamlet”.
“Described as the most poetic death scenes in literature, this beautiful and haunting painting’s depth and complexity inspired me profoundly” Singer explained.
