What if someone told you that you only had 1 year left to live… How would that information could impact and change your life?
The watch counts down your life in the name of happiness!
This wrist watch, named Tikker and created by Fredrik Colting, a Swedish designer based in California, can predict the time of your death to the nearest second! Far from being morbid, the goal of this accessoirie is, according to its inventor, to remember we have to enjoy and cherish life. Moreover, Colting calls it ‘The Happiness Watch’.
Would you want to know when you’ll die?
To set up the watch and determine their “death date,” the user fills out a complex questionnaire by entering information about their age, medical history (including allergies, and illnesses), bad habits like whether users smoke or drink, as well as their good habits (sports, diet…), weight and medical family history (diabete, cancer…). Once the survey is completed, the user receives a score. It’s age is deducted from the data results to predict a death date and the Tikker begins the countdown. The digital watch face ticks down time, with years, months and days on the top row, hours, minutes and seconds on the middle row, and, as a regular watch, gives the local time on the bottom row.
Tikker Kickstarter campaign is a stunning success and already harvested $74,000 on the $25,000 requested to launch the watch line.
Tikker will be available starting April 2014, in white or black for $59.
